The 1.45m 5* class of Jump Saudi Riyadh this afternoon proved to be the perfect 'amuse gueule' for the World Cup round later this day. A well-rested Mohammed Ghanem Al Hajri steered the Emerald daughter, Lelielounka Stw to a convincing victory here, staying ahead of an otherwise all-Saudi Arabian top five.
Of the eleven clear combinations, only Al Hajri was able to set a time faster than 60 seconds together with the Belgian bred Lelielounka Stw. With this result, he jumped to first place in the standings, chased by an otherwise all-Saudi Arabian-coloured top five. Meshari Alharbi sent the 9-year-old stallion Cascadello Boy RM around in 63.72 seconds to take the silver. Completing the podium was the strong performing Abdullah Alsharbatly, who jumped to his fourth medal of the competition already in the saddle of Quincy 230 (Quintender 2).
Just outside the podium, Nasser Alshawaf finished fourth with Cartoon (Cardento), ahead of Addullah Alraji and Evers (Bmc Nassau).
