The Royal Windsor Horse Show kicked off on Friday with a CSI5* 1.45m class with both phases against the clock. Henrik Von Eckermann immediately started on a good note and claimed victory in this five star opening class.
Henrik Von Eckermann could count on Illiana (by Cardento 933) to set the winning time of 25,10 seconds. With this he was just too fast for Christian Ahlmann. He finished in second place with Calvino 16 (by Castelan II) and a time of 25,14. The top three placings were completed by Guy Williams and Rouge de Ravel (by Ultimo Van Ter Moude) with a time of 25,66 seconds.
David Simpson (Medoc de Toxandria) and William Funnell (Equine America Billy Mccain) finished in fourth and fifth place.
