Simon Delestre wins the CSI5* 1.45m opening class of GCT Madrid

In Madrid, the Longines Global Champions Tour kicked off today with a CSI5* 1.45m opening class, where Frenchman Simon Delestre scored an immediate victory in this two-phase course. 

Simon Delestre could count on the nine-year-old Dexter Fontenis Z (by Diarado) to set the winning time of 33.25 seconds in the second phase. With this, he was just too fast for Pius Schwizer and Casallino (by Casall). The duo finished second in a time of 34.45 seconds. Loli Mytilineou and La Perla vd Heffinck (by Cooper van de Heffinck) completed the top three in 34.49 seconds. 

Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli (Nintender Star) finished fourth and relegated Lillie Keenan (Agana van het Gerendal Z) to fifth place.
