Holger Münstermann has passed away.

German trainer and Grand Prix-rider Holster Münstermann has passed away on the 28th of December last year. He was 55 years old.

Eventhough Münstermann struggled a couple of years with HIV-related medical issues, he passed away unexpectingly, suddenly even.

Münstermann was most known as a Grand Prix-rider between 1985 and 2000. In 1986, he was the youngest rider of the Hamburg Dressage Derby. In 1990, he again won that Derby. In 1992 he was first runner up in the national German Championships.

After selling his last Grand Prix-horses, Wall Street and Way of Life in the 2000, competing came slowly to a halt and he dedicated himself to help other riders. He trained with Canadian, British, French, Japanese and Swiss riders.
