The horse Cordial will continue its career with the Irish rider Denis Lynch. After giving Mégane Moissonnier the opportunity to be part of the French team and delivering a faultless double ride in the Nations Cup of the CSIO 5* in Aix-la-Chapelle last summer, Cordial has been acquired by partners of the Irish rider for sport and breeding.
The 2023 edition of the CHI-W Longines d’Equita Lyon, concluded with a sixth place in the Longines World Cup Grand Prix, will remain the last competition for the duo of Mégane Moissonnier and Cordial. Seven Equestrian GmbH, the German company that owned the Holsteiner, has sold it. The fourteen-year-old horse will continue its sports career with the Irish Denis Lynch.
Mégane Moissonnier took over the Holsteiner in the spring of 2019. Well-trained and having reached a certain maturity, the stallion, whose rider interpreted his qualities with great talent, was regularly classified at 1.50m and 1.55m, notably finishing fifth in a CSI 4* Grand Prix at Hubside in Grimaud. In 2020, after a restart in Oliva, Laurent Guillet sold Cordial to Seven Equestrian GmbH for Rebecca Pohl, then coached by Ulrich Kirchhoff, who became Olympic champion for Germany in 1996. The young German rider was aiming for access to the highest level. Unfortunately for her and fortunately for Mégane, Cordial eventually returned to Ain.
