Derin Demirsoy steers Elzas to success in CSI4* 1m45 of Gijon

On Thursday, the competition in Gjion, Spain, commenced with the CSI4* 1m45 class. With 10.000 EUR at stake, 35 rider and horse-combinations made their way to the start. Derin Demirsoy made top honors his aboard Elzas

With faults and time taken in account, Demirsoy (TUR) steered the Diamant de Semilly gelding to a clear round with a time of 64,74s. Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) finished in second aboard d'Amerique van de Vlasrede Z, also a son of Diamant de Semilly. Their time was 65,92s. Clocking in at 68,20s, Robert Whitaker (GBR) landed on third with Chatondo (Chacco-Blue). 

Also riding for Great Britain, Joe Fernyhough became fourth with a clear round for Cancari V Z (Cancara) with a time of 68,51s. The top five was concluded by Finn Boerekamp (NED). The young Dutch rider had the nine years old Parfait vd Bisschop (I Am Moerhoeve's Star) under his saddle and timed at 68,67s.
