On the second day of the Summer Festival at the Longines Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, the CSI2* 1.45m class was held — a qualifying competition for the highly anticipated Grand Prix. In a fiercely competitive field, Natalie Dean delivered a flawless and lightning-fast round aboard Dotcom d’Authuit, stopping the clock at 64.08 seconds.
Second place went to Antoine Ermann of France, who also rode clear on Delirium Zoetendaele Z (by Diamant De Semilly) and crossed the finish line in 65.32 seconds. Yves Willems proudly upheld Dutch honors with Highway (by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve), producing a smooth clear round in 66.37 seconds to secure third place.
Just off the podium was another French rider, Félicie Bertrand, who piloted Chianti’s Casall to a time of 67.38 seconds. Germany’s David Will completed the top five aboard Chaqueen (by Chacoon Blue), finishing just three hundredths of a second behind Bertrand in 67.41.
Belgium once again counted on Wilm Vermeir for a strong result. With D’amour JMG Z, he delivered a clean and efficient round in 69.03 seconds — earning a respectable sixth place and the best Belgian result of the day.
