Ahmad Saber Hamcho takes a splendid win in Al Ain's CSIO2* Grand Prix

Yesterday France was the ultimate Nations Cup winner in Al Ains CSIO5*. Tomorrow the 1.60m Grand Prix is scheduled while today the CSIO2* Grand Prix was completed with a victory for Syria's Ahmad Saber Hamcho. From the eight combinations in the Jump-Off only two managed to make it a faultless finish. Hamcho and the 12-years-old Locarno 62-daughter, Lola V set the fastest time and didn't touch the wood, riding to victory in 48.57 seconds. Ramzy Hamad Al Duhami followed in a second place with the 10-years-old Belgian Warmblood Horse High Quality J (Quadrillo). In the past High Quality was competed by his breeder, Jef Lauwers and later Gilles Thomas. The pair crossed the finish clear in 50.31 seconds. Abdulrahman and Edwina Tops Alexander's former ride, the 15-years-old Old Chap Tame (Carthago) followed in a third place. Edwina's former GP-horse concluded the track with one time penalty in 58.15 seconds. The top five was completed by Luis Jesus Escobar with Qualidam (Quality Touch Z) in fourth and Khaled Abdulaziz Al Eid with Valuta S (Quintero) in a fourth and fifth place.
