Belgium's Wilm Vermeir claims fivestar Grand Prix of St. Moritz

Belgium's Wilm Vermeir does it again. The show jumping rider has a super competition this week in St. Moritz. Vermeir and his 9-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, Iq van het Steentje (by Toulon) just jumped to Grand Prix victory. Aboard the gelding, Vermeir was one of the 10 jump-off riders in this 1.60m high GP. The pair crossed the finish clear in 36.72 seconds and thus stayed ahead on Robert Whitaker. Whitaker guided his 14-year-old Catwalk IV (by Colman) clear through the course in 38.2à seconds. Home rider, Alain Jufer followed in a third place. Jufer and his 9-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, Rahmannshof Tic Tac (by Contact vd Heffinck) crossed the finish in 38.62 seconds. The top five was completed by Bronislav Chudyba (Zapria, by Colman) in fourth and Vermeir's compatriot, Nicola Philippaerts (H&M Harley v Bisschop, by Dulf van den Bisschop) in fifth.
