Kent Farrington was unbeatable at the international horse show in Valence, France. Today the USA Olympic Show jumping rider concluded his Europe competition with a CSI5* Grand Prix victory aboard the 11-year-old Kashmir van Schuttershof-daughter, Gazelle. Aboard the Belgian Warmblood mare Farrington crossed the finish clear in 35.32 seconds. With over one second difference Ireland's Shane Breen followed as runner-up with the 10-year-old Lord Z-son, Laith. The pair stopped the clock in 36.40 seconds. A total of 11 combinations qualified for the jump-off of this 1.60m Grand Prix. Eric Lamaze also produced a faultless round with the 12-year-old Coco Bongo (by Caretino). The former Olympic Champion placed third. The top five was completed by Yury Mansur (Babylotte, by Dollar du Murier) in fourth and John Whitaker with Crumley (by Cassus) in fifth.
