The victory was for the Irish rider Billy Twomey on the back of the 13-year Diaghilev (v. Vangelis S). The duo stopped the clock in a record time of 37.32 seconds. William Whitaker and the 12-year-old sBs stallion Utamaro D Ecaussines (v. Diamond Semily) had a sixth place earlier this week. This time he was close to the win. Aboard Joe Clee's former GP-horse he crossed the finish line in 38.79 seconds, good for a second place. Michael Duffy followed in third place. Along with the Zangersheide-bred Belcanto Z (v. Berlin), he finished clear in 40.55 seconds. The top five was completed by Robert Smith (Bavi v. Balou Du Rouet) and Tobias Meyer (Cathleen 28 v. Cordobes).
