Bosty tops the first day in Geneva

Only a difference of 0.02 seconds made sure France's Roger-Yves Bost won the Thursday night's Credit Suisse Grand Prix in Geneva, Switzerland. The battle was fought between two speed masters. Eventually Abdelkebir Ouaddar had to be satisfied with the second place.The 1.55m class was a qualifier for Sunday's Rolex Grand Prix and had fifty riders lined up. Only sixteen went through to the jump-off.  Aboard Sydney Une Prince (by Baloubet du Rouet), Bosty took home the win. The pair was followed by Abdelkabir Ouaddar and his Quickly de Kreisker (by Diamant de Semilly). Canada followed in a third place thanks to former Olympic Champion, Eric Lamaze. Together with Fine Lady 5 (by Forsyth) Lamaze was 0.25 seconds behind the French winner. The top five was completed by Veredus-rider, Ben Maher with Diva II (by Kannan) in fourth and Turkey's Omer Karaevli with Roso au Crosnier (by Looping d'Elle) in fifth. Only the top five produced a double clear round.
