CSI5* Geneva : Top Ten Final to Kent Farrington

American rider Kent Farrington wowed the Swiss crowd at the Palexpo arena when he won the IJRC Top Ten Final at the prestigious 5* show in Geneva. Eight out of the ten riders went clear in the first round, with World no.1 Scott Brash (GBR) taking pole position going into the jump-off. The jump-off saw first round - faulters Luciana Diniz and Ludger Beerbaum take it at a steadier pace, hoping to put the pressure on those coming later. Diniz went clear with the mare Fit for Fun 13 (x For Pleasure),but with eight faults carried on from the first round she was out of the running. Beerbaum was aboard his faithful stallion Chaman ( x Baloubet de Rouet), but unfortunately finished in tenth place with a total of eight faults. Farrington was a man on a mission and geared up the 13 year old gelding Voyeur (x Tolano van' t Riethof), they went clear in a time of 37.54 and really put pressure on those to come. The pressure became too much for some with close contenders Penelope Leprevost (FRA), Bertram Allen (IRL) and Scott Brash (GBR) all see a pole drop to the floor with the hopes of becoming the Top Ten Final winner. Farrington took the win ahead of French rider Simon Delestre (Hermes Ryan) and Daniel Deusser (First Class van Eeckelghem.) FULL RESULTS
