Set at a height of 1.55m the first CSI3* Lier GP ever had an exciting Jump-off with only a few horse-rider combinations at the start. Eventually it was Yuri Mansur Guerios and Cornetto K (Cornet Obolensky x Calido) won the CSI3* Grote Prijs Flandria Rent in Lier. The Brazilian rider was double clear and 1,76 seconds faster than runner-up Alberto Zorzi and his ride Ramiro Cruise (Ramiro B x Cruising). Van de Helle-rider, Erica Swartz (SWE) was the last rider with two clear rounds and could thus secure a place among the top three with Calore van de Helle (Casall x Lord). The top five in this GP was completed by Jeroen Appelen (Akido Z) and Wouter Devos (Tonik hero), finishing fourth and fifth. After the 1.55m CSI3* GP it was the CSI1* GP that took place. Only 19 out of the 69 starters placed for the jump-off in this 1.30m course. In the end it was Dutch Leopold Van Asten who claimed victory aboard VDL Groep Spiritivo. The pair was followed by Chloé Ockerman (Quipper de la Roche) and STX-rider, Daniel Deusser (Irenice Horta). Our own Equnews-rider, Bram Van Hulle, was the slowest clear jump-off round. Aboard Czarina vt Biesen Z he took home the 9th place.
