After the youngsters this morning, it was up to the 4 star riders in Hagen. Fences were built up to 1.40m against the clock. The victory was for the Colombian rider Carlos Lopez. He and his mare Cuplandra (Upgrade x Metall) finished clear in 59.89. He went at lightning speed, no other rider managed to approach his time. Second place was for Marcus Ehning and Calanda 42 (Calido I x Chasseur I). He crossed the line in 62.50, almost three seconds slower than Lopez. The third place was an ex aequo. Both Tim Riesenkamp-Goedeking and William Funnell finished in 62.91 seconds. Tim Riesenkamp-Goedeking saddled the Diamant de Semilly daughter Quapitola de Beaufour. William Funnell mounted Billy Angelo (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Kroongraaf). The German riders Janne-Friederike Meyer (Chloé) and Guido Klatte (Asagan M) ended respectively on fifth and sixth place. Two years ago, Meyers mare Chloé won the Belgian championships for 7-year olds with Pénélope Leprevost. After this championship, the Stephex Stables sold the mare to the German lady rider.
