Even though the Longines Masters of Hong Kong ended a few days ago, we still like to take a moment to look back. On Sunday there was the Grand Prix, with a breathtaking jump-off. Eventually, it was Christian Ahlmann who took the win in this thrilling competition. Equnews got some reactions of the winner, and other competitors about this Grand Prix. Christian Ahlmann: what happened today, was totally unexpected. The course was very difficult, and there were a lot of talented riders. After I saw Ludger's great jump-off on the screen, I knew I had to take a lot of risks. And luckily I succeeded. I would like to thank my team of grooms, sponsors and owners. I'm just the rider, but it's thanks to them that I won this GP today. Ludger Beerbaum: First of all I'd like to show my respect to Christian. His horse was one of the underdogs. He didn't have a lot of experience, but that didn't stop him from jumping to victory. That deserves a lot of respect! I brought my number 1 horse to Hong Kong. The equestrian sport has grown a lot in Asia, especially in Hong Kong. It was a great to take part in this wonderful experience. Max Kuhner: For me, Hong Kong has been an amazing experience. The competition is very well-organised and the city is breathtaking. The Longines Masters is truly a dream show. All the classes are an example of great quality and top sport. Chrisophe ( Ameeuw): I would like to thank all the sponsors, especially Longines and the Hong Kong Jockey Club. I would also like to thank all the amazing riders, and every member of the team. It feels good to see how the public grows every year. I hope to welcome everybody again next year. I will not give away any details just yet, but I can assure you: next year will also be a great edition, with some renewals ..
