Karel Cox and Martin Neergaard on top in Mijas Young Horses finals

At the Costa Del Sol Tour  in Mijas, Portugal the international 2*-classes start tomorrow as the young horses competed their finals today. Begium's former show jumping champion, Karel Cox jumped to victory after being placed yesterday. In the saddle of Nistria vd Winning Z (Nonstop), Cox jumped to glory in the 6-years-old classes. The combination crossed the finish in 33.78 seconds, over one second faster as Bronislav Chudyba and Gijanta (Ukato) who stopped the time in 35.18 seconds. Great-Britain's Carron Nicol followed in a third place aboard the Diamant de Semilly-offspring, Galerius. The top five was completed by Bronislav Chudyba (Quayarmina WV) in fourth and Nicol Carron (Moonraker) in fifth. With the seven-year-old horses victory coloured Danish with Martin Neergaard and Chaccolie (Chacco Blue). After a clear Jump-Off in 28.38 seconds Neergaard took a comfortable head on Bruce Goodin and Chaceldi (Chacco Blue) who stopped the timer in 30.97 seconds. Argentina's Fidel Segovia and Jack (Coupe de Coeur) played it safe finishing clear in 39.94 seconds. Maxime HArmegnies followed in a fourth place with Elastique van de Koekoe (Figo de Muze), while Bethanie Knight and Cassalfino (Casall) completed the top five.
