In the ‘Real Club de Polo de Barcelona’ one of the highlights of this afternoon was the ‘Queens Cup-Segura Viudas Trophy’. Almost 80 combinations started in the competition. Fences were built up to 1,50 meter and a jump-off with 16 riders had to decide who was crowned as the winner.
In the jump-off, Marcus Ehning once again showed his world class. Entering as one of the last riders in the ring, he managed to ride a faster time than the Belgian Niels Bruynseels, who had been leading the scoreboard for a very long time. Bruynseels rode Gancia de Muze (Malito de Reves) to the finish line in 40,75 seconds. A fast time, but not enough to beat Ehning. Ehning was only a little bit faster though, he and Funky Fred (For Pleasure) reached the finish in 40,39 seconds. The podium was completed by Scott Brash and Hello Guv’Nor (Diamand de Semilly). This combination finished in 41,70 seconds.
