Dutch reign in Vilamoura

Piet Raijmakers Jr. This week the Champions Tour kicked of in the Portuguese Vilamoura. For a period of 3 weeks riders will be able to train their horses in this international two start and Young Horses competition. In the 1m45-competition it was the Dutch rider Leon Thijsen who claimed victory. Aboard Quintera (s. Kannan) hij took home victory while he followed in second position with Ulena (s. Baloubet du Rouet). It was the Mexican Santiago Lambre who completed the stage after a clear round with Wasabi (s. Chronic Jmen). In total 25 combinations ended their course without touching the wood. With a time of 69:09 seconds it was the American Brianne Goutal (Wirma) who made it to the fourth place. Cecilie Hatteland and Vesta III (s. Andiamo) ended in a fifth place. click here for the results
