Today it was Giovanni Oberti who won the Medium Tour at Drammen, Norway. In the 1m45-class there were 58 starters from which only 24 horse-and-rider combinations passed to the second phase. Mounted on the 9-year-old Wieze Z (s. Wonderful van'T Beugelhof) Oberti crossed the finish line with 3 seconds less than the Norwegian Christian Anfinnsen Öien and his 13-year-old Twister (s. Monaco), finishing in 33:88 seconds. The stage was completed by the Swedish Emma Emanuelsson aboard the 8-year-old Hansa Kredit Obelix, finishing in 34:01 seconds.
Belgian rider Rik Hemeryck and the gelding Figeac de Reve (s. Malito de Reves) made a fawless finish in 32:23 seconds, good for a fourth position. The pair was followed by the Dutch rider Henk Van de Pol and Liberty Antara.
