The Dutch rider Kevin Jochems just took home the Gold Cup win in Hickstead. Only seven combinations qualified for the jump off and Jochems pulled of the fastest time. Aboard his Captain Cooper (Namelus R) he completed the shortened course in 50,35 seconds. He stayed one and a half second ahead of Massimo Grossato and Lazzaro Delle Schiave (Mipaaf). Amanda Derbyshire took home the bronze medal for Great Brittain, she rode her Roulette BH (Moschino) through the course in 53,21 seconds. Gudrun Patteet finished fourth for Belgium aboard her Sea Coast Pebbles Z (Picasso) and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli completed the top five with Sirene de la Motte (Apache d'Adriers) under the saddle.
