At the beginning of the year Gregory Wathelet had to watch his best horse conrad de Hus leave to the USA and today the European vice-champion sees another of het top horses "leave his stable" as Oh d'Eole is set to retire from international showjumping. Wathelet started riding the mare at the end of 2014 and they were victorious in several big classes. Just a few weeks ago the pair won one of the action packed showjumping classes at Knokke Hippique. But even last week at the Global Champions Tour in Valkenswaard the pair seemed to be in vorm when they placed themselves at fourth rank in the 1.45m CSI2* class However the only 14-year old Selle Francais mare Oh d'Eole (v. Kannan) was taken out of the sport as per direct and has retired at home stables of owner Haras de Hus. There the mare will be used for breeding, just like last year when they already used the Kannan daughter for breeding some embryo's.
