With only a few days to go until the show jumping games take a start, USA's Olympic show jumper, Ward McLain has made a heart-felt tribute to passed-away show jumping rider, Andres Rodriguez. For Ward McLain it is his fourth Olympic appearance for Team USA. On his Social Media, McLain has written a tribute to Venezuela's Andres Rodriguez, who the sport lost in a tragic automobile accident in Wellington, Florida in January. The loss was felt deeply through out the world and the vibrant presence of the Pan American Silver Medalist

Chipito was always a better sportsman than me and had an appreciation for life that I often loose sight of through my quest for success. In honor of you Chipito I will try to share that zest for all that is a blessing in our lives over the next few weeks no matter the result.
Andres Rodriguez will be missed by many riders at #Rio2016. McLain’s words encapsulate what is no doubt the feelings by many Olympic athletes who knew Rodriguez and wish he was with us in Rio.
