At the international show jumping in Ascona it were the lady riders who dominated the 1.60m Grand Prix. Riding the 10-years-old Silling-son, Sea Coast Atlantic, Belgium's Gudrun Patteet topped the class after a clear finish in 39.78 seconds. A victory worth over 31,000 Euro. A total of 13 combinations produced a clear first round, qualifying for the jump-off. Finland's Anna-Julia Kontio and 13-year-old Pacific Des Essarts (by Diamant de Semilly) followed in a second place. The pair stopped the clock in 40.10 seconds. Two Swiss ladies followed in a third and fourth place. Christina Liebherr tacked up L.B. Eagle Eye (by Darco) and placed third. Janika Sprunger and Aris CMS (by Nassau) finished in spot number four.
