Harrie Smolders kicks off with a win under the bright sun of Miami

In Miami the day kicked off with a big win for Dutch showjumper Harrie Smolders. In todays five star competition in the 1m45 he won the two-phases in the saddle of the thirteen year old Dutch Warmblood Zinius (by Nabab de Reve) with a time of 25.64 seconds. Following closely it was Belgian rider Nicola Philippaerts who jumped to the second place with his Ustina Sitte (by Clinton) in 25.73 seconds. The third place went also to Belgium, this time it was Jos Verlooy who placed in third place with his Napa Valley (by Nintender) with 26.62 seconds on the clock. The party was completed by Dutch rider Leopold van Asten who finished in a fourth place in the saddle of his VDL Groep Miss Untouchable (by Chacco Blue) with a time off 26.62 seconds. In fith place we find Qatar's Bassem Mohammed and his Argelith Squid (by Salito) in 26.98 seconds. In the 1m35 the win went to British rider Amanda Derbyshire and her Lady Maria BH (by Cartani) with whom she finished in 33.66 seconds in this two-phases course. The second place went to American rider F. Peter Jordan and his P&F Cordillo Z (by Candillo Z) in 34.68 seconds. While in third place it was Reid Patton and his Twisther (by Farmer) in 35.88 seconds.
