VDL Groep Verdi TN says goodbye to championships

The extraordinary showjumer VDL Groep Verdi TN N.O.P (by Quidam de Revel) will no longer compete for the Dutch team in the international championships. Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten has decided after a well thought out consultation to only compete the stallion at some five star shows. The in 2002 born stallion is owned by Van der Vleuten Stables, Team Nijhof and C.A.M. van den Oetelaar Dutch Federation the KNHS shows nothing but love and pride for the combination. Technical director of the KNHS Maarten van der Heijden tells, "For years now we have been enjoying the combination that is Verdi and Maikel. The pair has been of major influence over the years for the Dutch successes all over the world. Our Federation and the entire Dutch equestrian world should be quite thankful of the successes this pair has made possible. Together they made an unique pair." Over the years they had quite a succesfull career starting with an individual silver medal at the Olympics in London in 2012. Then they were part of the Gold Team medal during the World Eqestrian Games in Caen in 2014 as well as winning the FEI Nations Cup in that same year. In 2015 they won the European Championships in Aachen. And in 2016 they were part of the winning team during the Nations Cup in Rotterdam. They showed great shape over the last couple of years with unwavering results.     Video is in Dutch!
