Indoor Brabant: Nicola Philippaerts beat Dutch riders hands down

The Gemeente ‘s-Hertogenbosch Prize, a competition against the clock with fences up to 1.45m, was won by Belgium’s Nicola Philippaerts with the 13-year-old mare Ustina Sitte (by Clinton).
The son of former international Ludo Philippaerts managed to be 0.17 seconds faster than VDL rider Leopold van Asten. Leopold was in the lead for a long time with VDL Groep C Tara Z (by Crown Z), but at the end he had to settle for the runner-up spot.
Harrie Smolders, who had won the opening class of the 5* riders today, finished in third place with KWPN berd Zinius (by Nabab de Reve).  Maikel van der Vleuten  and hisVDL Groep Quatro came in fourth after their ride in 65.92 seconden, staying ahead of Lisa Nooren  and Hocus Pocus de Muze who finished in fifth place.
