Jumping Mechelen: Belgium's Gilles Nuytens on the lead in big CSIJ-YR finale

On the A-arena in Mechelen, the first round of the big CSIJ-YR has just been ridden. In this round, the riders got to ride a difficult course, which resulted in penalties on several fences. Eventually nine combinations managed to keep the zero on the scoreboard. The fastest was Gilles Nuytens. He and Jade S (f. Diarado) finished in 65,01 seconds. neri Pieraccini and Sorpresa Della Favorita (f. Mr. Blue) ended on second place. This 11-year old mare crossed the finish line after 66,48 seconds. Claire Putters and Copain de Muze completed the top three. They cleared the course in 66,55 seconds. Brent Gaubkomme and Valley (f. Andiamo Z) were the first ones to jump the course without penalties. Their time of 66,70 seconds resulted in a fourth place. The Irish Anna Carway and Ajaccio (f. Cartino) completed the top five.
