Petronella Andersson crowns herself Queen of Mechelen

In Mechelen, the Queenscup has just been ridden. This 1m45 class was ridden by lady riders and lady riders only. From the 29 starting combinations, four could keep the zero on the scoreboard. A jump-off with four combinations therefore had to decide about 'The Queen of Mechelen'. The only combination who managed to jump a clear jump-off, was Petronella Andersson. She was the first rider to enter the show ring and immediately put the pressure on the other competitors by riding a clear jump-off in 34,20 seconds. She saddles the 19-year old Mouse (f. Limbus) for the job. The second place went to Amy Inglis. Inglis and her 12-year old BWP mare Every Way (f. Upsilon vd Heffinck) rode a fast time, but got one penalty for jumping. Claire Putters and Fa Belle van Sombeke (f. Querlybet Hero) took account of the third place. Marjan de Wachter and Darotique v. T Meulenhof (f. marius Claudius) got two penalties for jumping and ended on fourth place. Hanne Mertens and Brunello di Fer (f. Bamako de Muze) ended on fifth place. They left the wood untouched as well, but got one penalty for time in the first round. In Mechelen werd zonet de Queens Cup gereden.
