Luca Maria Moneta speeds to victory in Lausanne

Speed was the key to succes in tonight's class in Lausanne. The sportive program of the international Longines Horse Show in LAusanne concluded with a 1.45m Longines Ranking speed class. Italy's Luca Maria Moneta speeded to victory aboard the 16-year-old Cordobes II-son, Connery. The pair stopped the clock in 61.87 seconds. A total of five combinations produced a clear jump-off round. For own crowd, Paul Estermann followed as runner-up with the 9-year-old sBs-son of Ugano Sitte, Curti Sitte. Estermann crossed the finish clear in 65.21 seconds and was followed by Henrik von Eckermann with his 15-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, Cantinero (by Cento).   Daniel DEusser (Tobago Z, by Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve) and Steve Guerdat (Venard de Cerisy, by Open Up Semilly) completed the top five in a fourth and fifth place.   Click here for the results
