McLain Ward claims victory in first GCT of 2014

The first round of the  Global Champions Tour 2014 is won by the American McLain Ward. In a filled up arena in the Antwerp habor McLain rode to the win with Rotchild in a time that couln´t be bested of 37:12 seconds. Runner up Rolf Göran Bengtsson seems to be back at the top stage to stay and took second place with Casall ASK, riding a very nice clear jump off but just falling short 0.21 seconds to take home the win. Constant Van Paeschen, who was last to go in the jump off, had a chance to please the home crowd with a Belgian win.  In a valliant attempt to beat McClain, Van Peaschen and Citizenguard Toscan had a clear round in 37:93 seconds, having to settle with third place.  Bassem Hassan Mohammed took 4th place with  Dutch rider Gertjan Brugginks old top horse, Primeval Dejavu Klik hier voor de uitslag.
