Nicola Philippaerts takes brilliant morning win in Bordeaux

There was no doubt this morning who was awake and ready to win. Nicola Philippaerts was as sharp as it can be. And nailed the win with a time that was nearly 3 seconds faster than runner up Timothee Anciaume from France. It took Philippaerts only 42.22 seconds to clear the course with his HEM Quenzo de La Rogue (by Kannan). Aboard the 13 year old Selle Fraincais gelding the Belgian rider rocketed trough the arena and let the competition behind him. Anciaume and his 11 yea r old mare Australia (by Air Jordon) crossed the finish line after the dust had cleared up. The air clocked a time of 45.09 seconds and claimed second place ahead of Portugese rider Mario Wilson Fernandes. Fernandes took third place with his 10 year old Tidelio Des Nauves. They followed in 45.73 secondse ahead of Henrick Von Echermann on Copperphild (by Cornet Obolensky) and Daniel Deusser who completed the top 5 aboard 14 year old BWP gelding Clintop (by Clinton I).
