This afternoon French showjumper Patrice Delaveau rode to victory at the 1m45 Medium Tour competition in Al Shaqab, Doha. On the back of Ornella Mail HDC (s. Lando) Delaveau put down the unbeatable time. In a time of 43:16 seconds runner-up Maikel Van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Eureka (s. Chin Chin) almost closed the gap with his time of 43:25 seconds. Pénélope Leprevost completed the stage with Flora de Mariposa (s. For Pleasure). The pair made the finish in 46:48 seconds, good for a third place.
The most spectacular moment was the Jump-Off of Jur Vrieling. It was just not his day. On the back of Sissi van Schuttershof (s. Nabab de Rêve), Jur Vrieling was first to start in the Jump-Off. When turning from fence number two to fence number three the course-personal blocked fence number three. After a lot of shouting the combination was able to jump the fence however the concentration was completely gone, resulting in one jumping fault.
