This afternoon's Grand Prix qualifier in Arezzo was an exciting battle between the 72 starters, giving the spectator a nice and exciting competition to watch. Belgian's Rossella de Simone and Orson des Hayetts (s. Mozart des Hayettes) made the finish in 68:56 seconds, without touching the wood. Only Richard Spooner and the 14-year-old Apache (s. Mescalaro) reached the finish in a shorter time. The pair finished in 65:20 seconds, good for victory. Natale Chiaudano and his Acord II-son Atlantico completed the stage with his third place. Only the top ten was selected for the upcoming Grand Prix.
Nicola Philippaerts and the 12-year-old Rochet de la Vaulx (s. Heaume des Malais) finished in 70:70 seconds, just not fast enough for the stage, ending on the fourth place. The German rider Andreas Krieg and Ayers Rock (s. Acorado) finished on the fifth place. The new combination, Cameron Hanley and Antello Z (s. Animo II Z) proved to be a promising one. After a clear round in 70:92 seconds the pair ensured their place in the GP, ending on the 8th place.
