The Zinfandel Grand Prix at the Central California Zinfandel Classic rounded off a beautiful Saturday during the second week of competition at the Paso Robles Horse Park.
The class contained 12 starters and featured a course that was designed with precision by course designer Mike Gallaway of Oregon. The Zinfandel Grand Prix was the second Grand Prix held in the newly expanded LD Hayes Arena, which features GGT-Footing and a new berm for spectators to lounge on while they take in the competition.
"It has been a wonderful two weeks of competition here at the Horse Park," said Adrienne Karazissis of West Palms Events. "We would like to thank everyone again for coming and supporting the brand new Winter Series on the Central Coast!"
Five pairs victoriously overcame the first round without faults and in a quick pace. Patrick Seaton, who won the GGT-Footing 1.35M with his own partner Skipio K this week, Daniel Ighani and his own Coralin 6, last week's winner Kevin Winkel and Osophia, Susan Artes and Stokkholm and Amanda Flint and Superbad moved on to battle for the top placing in the jump off.
