It looks like Pius Schwizer and his Eleictric Z are unbeatable at the moment. After taking the opening speed class yesterday the pair takes yet another amazing win this morning in Zurich. Fellow Swiss rider Paul Estermann follows in second place during the speed test with joker, while French rider Simon Delestre claims third place.
Schwizer and the Zangersheide mare from Erco van 't Roosakker have an amazing track record. Over the last two year the pair had 30 top five placings of which they won 14! Among their amazing wins are youngster classes in Valkenswaard, Leipzig, Olivia and Chantilly. Today's win in front of his home crowd will mark the 15th win. As usual there is no doubt about the class this combination brings. In 44.35 seconds they flew over the course in Zurich to beat Estermann and the 13 yar old Oldenburge Cornet's Hope (by Cornet Obolensky).
Estermann and the Cornet Obolensky mare crossed the finish line about two seconds behind Schwizer. But in their turn clocked a ride of 46.59 seconds staying leagues ahead of Delestre who currently resides as fifth in the FEI world ranking.
Aboard Troika Denfer (v. Cassini I)the French rider had a photo finish with his colleague Roger Yves Bost. Bost clocked 48.21 seconds with the 9 year old Fromecs Liandy (v. Fromes Liandero), while Deleste stopped the clock on 48.21 seconds with his Cassini I mare. Swiss Nadja Peter Steiner complemented the top five keeping another price at home base by keeping it clear with Cassall mare Celeste 50.03 seconds.
