Sofia Westborg on top in Vilamoura

The  young horses ruled the day in Vilamoura today. After an exciting Jump-Off with four combinations faultless it was Sweden's Sofia Westborg who speeded to victory.

Sofia Westborg speeded to victory with Belgium's Wim Aegten's breeding product, Conncordia Z (Chiquitano Z) in the seven-year-old class. The pair was the only to cross the finish in under 38 seconds. With over a second difference Spain's Antonio Marinas Soto followed as runner-up in the saddle of Caretoo (Catoo), while Great-Britain's Sophie Fawcett completed the stage. Fawcett placed third in the saddle of her Catoo-gelding, Cedric. The pair was followed by Felicie Bertrand with her Vigo d'Arsouilles-mare, Marbella AEG. With one jumping fault Christopher Franks placed fifth aboard Warrior Queen (Warrior).
