Stefanie Van Den Brink takes a spectacular win in the Grand Prix of Opglabbeek

In Sentower Park (Belgium) the 'Grand Prix Gemeente Opglabbeek' was scheduled for this afternoon to conclude a busy international weekend. 70 combinations entered the show ring for this 1,50m course. Eventually a jump-off with eleven combinations had to decide about the winner. It seemed like Abdel Saïd was going to take the victory for a long time, but the Dutch lady rider Stefanie van de Brink beat him to it. She was the last rider to enter the ring, but in the end her time of 39,21 seconds was just a little faster than the time of the Egyptian rider. This way she ended on first place with the 10-year old Merida 8 (f. Metropole). Abdel Said and Imke 11 (f. Der Senaat 11) had to settle for second place. They jumped a clear jump-off in 39,71 seconds. The third place went to the Belgian rider Christophe Vanderhasselt. He and Gino van de Vrunte (f. Karioka Del Follee) left the wood untouched and finished in 40,19 seconds. Wesley Mulder (Twister de la Pomme) and Dominique Hendrixkx (Bacardi des Hauts) completed the top five.
