Jack Whitaker just won the 1.35m Flamant Prize in the CSI2* Super Cup at the Brussels Stephex Masters, repeating his win from 2015. As son of the legendary Michael Whitaker the 14 year old Jack rode a master piece of a round with 15-year-old mare Native de Vesquerie (by Papillon Rouge). Taking home the win in thisthis competition against the clock by crossing the finish in 58.87 seconds. It was all about famous offspring in this class, as Belgian Thibault Philippaerts – son of Ludo Philippaerts – finished off second on Zandigo (by Jumbo-Jet) with a time of 59.47 seconds. In third, almost three seconds behind Philippaerts, it was Nina Barbour from Great Brittain thta followed on Calle (by Chambertin). While the fourth place went to Carolina Drummond and Robinson Maupiler from France finished in fifth. Earlier that morning it was Belgian rider Odile Putman who claimed the 1.15m Knokke Hippique Prize over two phases. Putman and the 9-year-old stallion Tempo Fontanel (by Rheingold de Luyne) were the fastest ones putting a time of 29.29 seconds on the leader board. Second place also went to Belgium with Evert van Mele on Doebiedoep de Muze (by Bamako de Muze) in 31.13 seconds.
