At Zangersheide in Lanaken, the Belgian and international audience got what it game for. Top level sport and action during the finals of the FEI World Championships for Young Horses. The day concluded with the 7-year-old horses. Just like last year the World Championships title with the 7-year-old horses is colouring Belgian. The track was set at a height of 1.45m and saw only five combinations returning for the final jump-off. Stephex rider, Lorenzo de Luca took the lead aboard his BWP-mare Jeleena de Muze (Tornedo Fcs x Chin Chin) in a time of 40.73 seconds. Eventually the pair placed second. As it was a few combinations later that Star Horses-rider, Thierry Goffinet did beat De Luca's time with Think Twice 111 2 (Toulon x Cassini I). The half sister of Winningmood van de Arenberg stopped the clock in 40.06 seconds, claiming the first place. The Netherlands placed third. Earlier today the Dutch already took one Gold (Willem Greve, 5 year old horses) and Bronze (Julian de Boer - 6 year old horses). Luc Steeghs and Everest (Carambole x Indoctro) crossed the finish in 42.12 seconds. The top five was completed by Jan Motmans with BWP-horse Jaguar (Chopin vh Moleneind x Indoctro) in fourth and Jonna Ekberg with Jasmien v Bisschop (by Larino) in fifth.
