In the spectacular Derby is was Gudrun Patteet who was the leading lady. In the following 1.55m class the Belgian rider continued to shine again with a third place behind Betram Allen and Lorenzo de Luca. As fourth rider to go it was Patteet who set the time to beat on 36.92 seconds with Sea Coast Atlantic (by Schilling). Not much later it was Italian De Luca who was just a little bit faster with Halifax van het Kluizebos (by Heartbreaker). In the saddle of the Belgian Warmblood the Italian was half a second faster than Patteet. But the last will be the first tonight in the Audi Prize. As last to go it was Irishman Betram Allen who came in to take the win with Quit Easy 4 (v. Quidams Rubin). He did the job in just 34.73 seconds leaving the rest of the field behind. By putting in the fast time with his Oldenburger gelding Betram however did push home rider Wout-Jan van der Schans out of a medal place. Van der Schans and the KWPN Cape Town (v. Oklund) fell short with their ride in 37.66 seconds. He finished fourth just ahead of Ludger Beerbaum who completed the top 5 with Chaman (v. Baloubet du Rouet). Go here to see all the results.
