The Del Mar International Horse Show kicked off three weeks of competition with a stacked line up of national and international competitors including show-jumping favorites Will Simpson, Kent Farrington, Beezie Madden, Lauren Hough, Eric Navet, Karl Cook and many more. The week was well rounded between the Hunter and Jumper rings, including three grand prix's, a Grand Prix Hunter Derby, the PCHA/Equine Insurance Child/Adult Hunter Championship and all our very special Hunter and Jumper Classics on Classic Sunday! In the PCHA/Equine Insurance Child/Adult Hunter Championship, Karen O'Leonard and La Reina Ranch's LRR Barnaby repeated their win yesterday with another spectacular round today, winning Round 2 and earning the Overall Championship out of 30 entries in this prestigious event. Second place in today's Round 2 went to Amy Concha riding her own Capella, and third was awarded to Macallan, owned and ridden by Amber Ayyad. Amber and Macallan's consistent pace and expressive jump carried them into 2nd place for the Overall Championship, and third Overall went to Athabasca, owned and ridden by Anne Marie Mueller.
