During day two of the European Young Riders Championships, it was again Denmark's Karoline Sloth Kjær on Belvedere (Billy Congo) who secured the win. With zero penalties after two rounds, she seems to be the combination to beat for now.
Tim Brennan made his mark with Diadema della Caccia (Diamant de Semilly), securing second place. The difference with Sloth Kjær is minimal, promising an exciting second round. Rachel Proudley from Great Britain follows close behind; her ride with Quality Street (Ish) earned her 0.7 penalty points, taking third place.
Belgian riders also performed strongly in this course. Mathieu Guery with Time-Breaker S Z (Toulon) is in provisional fifth place with 1.09 penalty points, just ahead of Evelyne Putters and Oberon Vdh (Thunder Van De Zuuthoeve), who is sixth with 1.18. With this starting position, the Belgians still have a chance for honorary metal, although the differences are particularly close in this 1m50 class.
