Today the international 4* show jumping competition in Hamburg is a playground for the German show jumping riders. As well as this morning the 1.40m class was claimed by the German show jumping crowd. This time it was Heiko Smidt who jumped to glory aboard Chap (by Cellestial). The pair crossed the finish in 60.87 seconds. Ireland’s, German based, Billy Twomey followed as runner up in this 32 combinations counting class. Together with Eindhoven G.H. (by Vaillant) Twomey stopped the clock in 61.16 seconds. The pair stayed ahead of Belgium’s Karline De Brabander aboard her 12-year-old sire Fantomas De Muze (by For Pleasure). De Brabander and her sire crossed the finish clear in 61.71 seconds. The top five was completed by two German pairs.
